Activities
Speaker Program & Workshops
The Speaker Program is central to our mission of advancing the knowledge of gardening and horticulture, and inspiring greater environmental awareness. Over the years, we’ve had diverse speakers discussing many topics of interest, from the latest trends in garden design and orchid care to sustainable landscaping and gardening for wildlife. There’s something for everyone.
Access to all events is complimentary for members. Guests are welcome to attend with a member for $10 per event.
Summer Garden Tours
Each summer, some of the Eastern Township’s most beautiful private gardens throw open their gates to the public. Previous properties have ranged from a sumptuous château-style mansion overlooking Brome Lake to a charming artist’s house beside a pond and surrounded by verdant woods.
An exclusive experience that is complimentary for members. Guests are welcome to attend with a member for $10 per tour.
Community Projects
The club contributes to the community with soil, plants and sweat!
Activities range from sprucing up commercial and public spaces and fund-raising events for local communities, to participation in community gardens.
Excursions
From time to time, the club organizes special excursions for our members. Past trips have included the Montréal Botanical Gardens, Reford Gardens in Québec City and Les Quatre-Vents in Charlevoix, legacy of the late Frank Cabot and once described as ‘Canada’s best-kept secret.’
